Singapore’s K2 Therapeutics raises $50M seed to expand their portfolio

Here’s K2 Therapeutics! They’re a Singapore-based biotech company that identifies drug candidates and advances them through in-house research and development. Now, they’ve just raised $50M in a seed round.

  • The company also named Ying Huang, who was previously chief executive of Legend Biotech, as CEO.

Investor check. MPM BioImpact, the US investment firm that founded K2 Therapeutics in 2024, led the round. 

🌏 The ABCs of K2 Therapeutics

K2 is building a portfolio of innovative therapeutics by identifying promising opportunities globally and advancing them through focused drug development. 

  • They currently have eight therapeutic programs in their portfolio, ranging from pre-clinical to clinical. 
  • These include antibody-drug conjugates and T-cell engagers.

🪙 What’s with the $$$? 

The financing will support the expansion of their portfolio through asset acquisition, capital deployment, and development.
