Need a break? Here’s BYHOURS. They’re a Spanish startup that lets users book microstays in more than 4K hotels across 25 countries. Now, they just raised fresh funding

  • They claim to have more than 300K users and have sold more than 1M hotel hours.
  • Oh, and they also have partnerships with hotel chains like Hyatt, Sheraton, Accor Hotels, and more!

Investor check. Singapore’s Velocity Ventures led the round.

  • The exact amount of the deal was undisclosed.

Hate paying the full price for a service you won’t be using all the way through? We get that. But more importantly, BYHOURS gets that.

With their platform, you can book hotel stays in packs of 3, 6, and 12 hours. And yes, you can use the hotel’s facilities! So you can squeeze in a gym or pool session real quick between trips.

  • Great for people. Need a place where you can crash before your next flight? Travelers on the go can pay hotels by the hour, nap a little, and then check out.
  • And for hotels. Hoteliers can get additional revenue from short-term bookings!

New feature. In 2020, they launched a new service that allows hoteliers to offer room renting by the hour on their own website.

💵 What’s with the $$$?

They’re going to expand to the Asian market and prioritize collaboration with travel agencies, corporations, and online travel agencies to optimize revenue for their hotel partners.
