Hey, Vietnam! Farmnet, TechCoop’s domestic trading arm in Vietnam, works with processors, cooperatives, and farming businesses to trade agricultural goods throughout the country.

  • Now, they’ve just raised $11.75M.
  • FYI. TechCoop is based in Singapore.

Investor check. They got the $$$ from Geneva-based impact investment firm, Symbiotics.

🍅 All around

Farmnet trades a range of agricultural products, including cassava, coconuts, cashews, durians, coffee, fresh fruits, and processed goods.

  • It operates in 20 locations across Vietnam and serves more than 641 cooperatives and agricultural enterprises.

💸 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll use the loan as working capital to support increased trading activity with their network.

Future plans? This funding forms part of TechCoop’s strategy to raise a Series B equity round later this year.

  • TechCoop’s parent company, TechCoop Investment & Technology, is set to expand into Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand this year.
