APX is going to do a lot more shipping soon! This Thai startup helps companies deliver their products daily using their less-than-truckload (LTL) solution–where trucks deliver goods despite not being fully stocked.

Investor check. ORZON Ventures (powered by PTT Oil and Retail Business PCL) led the round. 500 Global and iSeed SEA also joined in!

  • The amount raised is undisclosed.

🛣️ On the go

In the logistics industry, most trucks are loaded to full capacity before they’re sent out.

So, if a shipper doesn’t have enough cargo, they need to wait to have enough to fill a truck. That could cost them time and money!

  • Where LTL comes in. They combine cargo from different shippers, eliminating wait times.
  • Not just that. They’ve got no minimum unit requirement. Oh, and they also prefer to ship with pallets.

🚛 The ABCs of APX

APX also has a transportation network of trucks and hubs that collect and distribute goods at regular intervals!

While most companies do an old-fashioned milk run (aka, where trucks go to various locations to fill the truck), APX has a more fixed approach.

  • They collect goods from member depots, unload them at a main sorting hub, and deliver them to designated locations daily.

The Earth will love it. Because they have fixed collection and delivery times, companies can avoid empty truck space and long trips!

🕸️ OTW to SEA

Aside from deepening operations in Thailand, they’re going to expand in SEA!

  • They’ll be focusing on Malaysia and Singapore first.
