Watch out for IDN Media! They're a multi-platform media company that focuses on Indonesia's millennials and Gen Z. Now, they've just raised a Series D!

  • They have over 80M users across their multiple platforms.
  • They're estimated to be valued at around $338M.

Who cashed in? Mayapada Group and KMIF led the round. East Ventures, OCBC NISP Ventura, Dentsu Group and V Media Ventures.

  • While filings state that the company raised $23M, a spokesperson said they'd raised more than that amount as the filing process hasn't been completed.
  • Their last round was a $15M Series C in 2019 from EV Growth, Line Ventures and more.

📰 How it works

Founded in 2014, they started as a blog and now run IDN Times, their flagship platform for millennials and Gen Z (some call them Indonesia's BuzzFeed), covering everything from news and entertainment to lifestyle and tech.

They operate multiple other sites and apps, including GGWP.ID (gaming and esports), Popmama (mothers and parenthood), Popbela (women) and Yummy (food and cooking).

  • They also have IDN Creative (digital agency), IDN Event (event management) and their creator platform, Indonesia Creators Economy and more.
  • IDN Media recently launched a $3M fund for livestreamers on their platform.
