Collectors, here’s Toki! It’s a social commerce platform where you can buy and sell collectibles, and it just launched in the Philippines.

  • They’re focusing on four categories first: sneakers, LEGO, NBA cards, and Funko Pops!

On January 15, 2024, they announced that they've raised $1.8M in pre-seed funding!

Investor check. They’ve gotten backing from Foxmont Capital Partners, Kaya Founders, and some angel investors.

  •  👼🏻: Anthony Oundjian (Managing Director, BCG Philippines), Brian Cu (Founder, SariSuki), Ernest Cu (CEO, Globe Telecom), and Bigboy Cheng, a well-known sneaker, toy, and art collector in SEA.

🚀 Check out the market

According to a study by Toki and GMO Research, the Philippines’ collectibles market is currently valued at $5B.

  • Aside from being a digital marketplace, sellers can also auction items live to customers in Toki.

🐻‍❄️ Better for you

You can buy lego sets, Funko Pops, and NBA cards on other platforms. So, what makes Toki special?

Well, they’re a dedicated platform for collectibles, so discovering items—even the rare ones—is easier. Plus:

  • Sellers are only allowed to list products on the platform after they pass Toki’s selection and scoring system.
  • And the products? They’re verified by Toki’s team so you know you’re buying legit items. No more getting scammed by random sellers online!

Discovery to delivery. They even partnered with GCash and NinjaVan for a seamless end-to-end buyer experience.

🌍 In the future?

They’ll expand their categories and maybe even open their service to new markets across the region.

(Updated on January 15, 2024) Toki raised $1.8M from investors.
