Early detection for the win? Singapore-based See-Mode Technologies, which offers AI-enhanced thyroid and breast ultrasound reporting, has been acquired.

  • US-based firm RadNet acquired the firm through its wholly-owned subsidiary DeepHealth, which provides AI-powered health informatics.

🍎 What the health?

Thyroid cancer is one of the fastest-growing cancer diagnoses globally, while breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women.

Why AI innovation matters. Because of its high demand and complexity, integrating AI in ultrasounds can improve workflows and patient care.

See-Mode’s applications to detect and characterize thyroid nodules and breast lesions improve the accuracy of diagnoses.

  • It’s not just automated detection. Their tech can also generate standardized reports, making the clinic workflows faster.
  • Their tech has regulatory approvals in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

🧑‍⚕️ Run the numbers

According to a statement from RadNet, early deployment of See-Mode’s thyroid ultrasound AI has shown up to 30% reduction in scan time.

  • Because the tech makes the process more efficient, this also enables patients to have better access of RadNet’s services.
