To better healthcare systems. Valiance Health is a Malaysian AI company building a standardized data infrastructure to support value-based healthcare.

Now, they’ve just raised their pre-seed!

Investor check. Gobi Partners led the round through its SuperSeed II Fund, with Jati Growth and Artem Ventures also participating.

  • The amount raised was not disclosed.

❤️‍🩹 What is value-based healthcare

In value-based healthcare, patient outcomes are the core focus. It’s a model where providers, such as hospitals and physicians, are rewarded for helping patients improve their health.

Here, patients spend less money to achieve better health, and providers can achieve efficiency and patient satisfaction.

  • It’s a different approach from the fee-for-service model, in which providers are paid based on the number of services they deliver.

🔨 Scaling up

But…hospitals face challenges when scaling value-based care. The main reason? Fragmented data.

  • Hospitals struggle to measure outcomes, insurers lack reliable cost visibility, and policymakers don’t have access to the right insights.
  • Fragmented operations can also lead to inconsistent coding practices and legacy systems that make it hard to benchmark billing and clinical data.

🏥 Not just another app

Valiance Health collates raw clinical, operational, and financial data from hospital systems, then cleans, maps, and standardizes data into an internationally recognized model using AI-driven pipelines.

  • The result? A common data standard that allows costs, outcomes, and operations to be understood across providers and payors.
  • Their tech can help hospitals reduce costs, while payors can speed up claims adjudication. It can also support better clinical and financial decision-making.

🧑🏽‍💻 What’s with the $$$?

Valiance will use the capital to support team expansion, strengthen AI-driven standardization pipelines, and deepen system integrations.

  • Oh, and they’ll also scale collaborations with insurers and administrators.

Their footprint. Valiance has onboarded several private hospitals and a major third-party administrator, with more providers in the onboarding pipeline.
