Here’s Waterhub! This Indonesian startup offers clean, affordable drinking water through filtration systems. Now, they’ve just raised their seed funding!

Investor check. Archipelago VC led the round, while The Radical Fund joined in.

  • The amount raised was not disclosed.

🚰 The ABCs of Waterhub

Waterhub operates a network of proprietary filtration systems and dispensers that transform municipal, rain, groundwater, and seawater into safe drinking water.

  • Not just filtration. Waterhub also offers communal water dispensers that eliminate the need for plastic water bottles.
  • Waterhub dispensers can be placed in schools, public places, and business events to lessen the use of disposable water bottles.

Money matters. Waterhub operates using a pay-per-use and subscription model. Each of their units use advanced reverse osmosis, IoT monitoring, and optional app-based payments.

💦 The water works

Since their launch in 2024, they have disbursed 36 filtration units, 32 communal dispensers, and 4 heavy-duty systems for clients across the fitness, F&B, and hospitality industries.

  • They’re targeting to have 2K units by 2029.

Water for everyone! They expect to filter over 21M liters of water, saving more than 300K tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by 2029.

🤔 What the future holds?

They’ll ramp up machine production, expand their teams, and fuel research and development to further refine their filtration technology and operational efficiency.
