Here’s Pyxis! They’re a Singapore-based startup that helps companies adopt electric maritime vessels. And now, they’ve just secured $10.06M in the first close of their $13.94M growth funding round.

  • They previously raised $3.3M in seed funding in 2024.

Investor check. Shift4Good, Motion Ventures, SG Growth Capital, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, through their venture capital arm, MOL PLUS, participated in the round.

  • Pyxis also secured green debt financing from OCBC.

🔋 Keep it electric

Pyxis develops and deploys electric vessels and energy systems that enable harbor crafts to transition to electric or low-carbon alternatives.

  • Their vessels reduce the total cost of ownership by lowering fuel and maintenance costs, improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions.
  • Their vessels are also powered by Electra, the company’s proprietary platform that enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and fleet-level optimization.

Here’s a fact! The recent round was prompted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Expression of Interest for electric vessel financing.

🛳️ What the $$$ is for

They’ll use the funds to drive their next stage of growth, including scaling vessel production, advancing the Electra smart system, and expanding ultra-fast marine infrastructure.

  • They’re going to increase manufacturing capacity for the Pyxis One, Pyxis R, and Pyxis L series to meet rising demand from Singapore, Japan, and other ASEAN markets.
  • The Pyxis L is their luxury-focused variant, designed for premium hospitality and private charters.

⚡ New launch alert

They’re also deploying an advanced internet of things (IoT) system, predictive maintenance tools, and vehicle-to-grid capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and energy resilience for operators.

  • They’re also developing a network of ultra-fast marine charging sites, with two locations deployed and more sites already in the works.
  • Coming soon? A new 300 kW charger location will also be launched in Q1 2026.
