Here’s Whale! They’re a Singapore-headquartered enterprise AI company that’s building an AI Operating System (AIOS) designed to digitize and automate physical business operations.

  • Now, they just raised $40M in their Series C3 extension!
  • They previously raised $60M in their combined Series C and C2 round.

Investor check. CMB International and SMBC Asia Rising Fund led the round, while  Krungsri Finnovate, Singtel Innov8, Hyundai Motor Group, and Charisma Partners joined in.

🐳 In the real world

Whale’s tech system helps companies gain digital insights into their physical retail space, facilities, or showrooms.

Their AIOS runs on Whale’s proprietary Business World Model, which is designed to interpret signals from cameras, sensors, and audio the way large language models process text.

Here’s how their tech ecosystem works:

  • SpaceSight. Uses store cameras and IoT sensors to track foot traffic, dwell time, customer engagement, and operational compliance.
  • Echo. Analyzes frontline sales conversations via voice and audio intelligence to extract best practices, identify operational gaps, and power automated coaching.
  • Alivia. Handles intelligent agent and workflow execution.
  • Lume. Manages AI-powered marketing and content distribution across channels.
  • Harbor. For knowledge management and compliance.
  • Novus. Provides cloud and edge AI infrastructure to process data.

🏃🏼 Some more detail

Whale serves businesses across the retail, automotive, F&B, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and fashion and apparel sectors.

  • They serve over 1.6K enterprises in more than 45 countries.

🔼 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll use the fresh capital to expand further into North America and APAC, with MENA and Europe next in mind.
